12 Hand Crafted Limited Edition Helmets Released by Royal Enfield on 120th Anniversary
06 November 2021: By the time you read his news, most of the 12 limited editions of “Hand Crafted Limited Edition Helmets’ released by Royal Enfield to mark 120th anniversary, are already sold out.
Royal Enfield unveiled ‘The Picnic Special’, ‘Birth Of The Bullet’ Helmets, to mark its 12 decades of presence on the roads. For example, one of those limited edition helmets, pays homage to Royal Enfield’s legendary wartime motorcycle – the 126cc Model WD/RE – aka The Flying Flea, which was light enough for a soldier to carry it over a wall or across a river. When fit in purpose-built parachute cradles, Fleas could be dropped alongside paratroopers, providing them with an efficient means of delivering signals and rounding up dispersed units. The helmets reflect upon the golden era of Royal Enfield Motorcycle development.
Previously Royal Enfield had unveiled the “The Original Royal Enfield” and “The V Twin”, which went sold out on the day of its launch. Now, these two helmet series, i.e., ”The Picnic Special” and ”Birth of the Bullet”, were on sale. The Picnic special helmet series draws its inspiration from the 1920s. This was the time of war and Royal Enfield was a mere two-model programme. Picnic Special is a full-face helmet that comes with a breath deflector, neck curtain and D ring for higher safety.
