Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025 returns with focus on sustainability and a 40% growth

26 April 2025: Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025, the region’s largest label and package printing event, returns to Bangkok from 8 – 10 May showcasing the latest technology with a strong focus on sustainability. Featuring over 190 of the world’s leading manufacturers, the event has registered a 40 percent growth since its earlier iteration in 2023 and will shine a spotlight on sustainable solutions and technology while delivering a sustainable experience to visitors.

With consumers driving the demand for sustainability, the focus on greener solutions is increasingly crucial to future-proof businesses in the global market. ‘Spotlight on Sustainability’ is Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025’s dedicated feature focused on helping visitors discover sustainable materials and innovative operational processes at the event.

– Armor-IIMAK (Stand B26): promotes thermal transfer ribbons claimed to produce 12 percent less waste than industry-standard products.

– Cosmo Films (Stand A20): supports the circular economy with its synthetic paper and Green graphic films.

– Thai KK Group (Stand E1): specializes in rPET labels with up to 100 percent post-consumer recycled content, and linerless direct thermal and semi-gloss labels which reduce waste and provide sustainable food packaging options. Aqueous and PHA coating on paper cups, bowls and boxes create eco-conscious solutions for the food industry.

– YUPO (Stand A36): showcases YUPO CleanSort labels substrates which are removed during the recycling process and carry away contaminants, ultimately enabling the packaging materials to be reused.

A sustainable visitor experience

Another core aspect of Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025’s focus on sustainability is to inspire the labels and package printing community to embrace more sustainable practices, guided by three main pillars:

Inspiring sustainability: from procurement to the visitor experience and content, the event has sustainability embedded into every aspect. In 2025, Labelexpo Southeast Asia has partnered with Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre – BITEC, a sustainability multi award-winning venue. Its commitment to sustainability is closely guided by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and includes energy saving and resource conservation.

Environmentally responsible: the event is committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. In addition to prioritizing sustainability across venue, catering and recommended accommodation, Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025 has implemented a range of sustainability measures. These include utilizing smart badge technology to reduce paper waste; recycling event graphics; reducing plastic waste with local recycling partnerships; and establishing a carpet recycling program in collaboration with local charities, shelters and community organizations. The event is also powered by 100% renewable energy.

Richard Quirk, Event Manager, Labelexpo Southeast Asia, says, “Returning in 2025, Labelexpo Southeast Asia has cemented its position as the ASEAN region’s premier stop for label and package printing technology. We continue to serve our community by being at the forefront of the industry’s trends and shifts with sustainability clearly the next pillar of change in the industry.”

Labelexpo Southeast Asia 2025 returns to Thailand 40 percent larger than previous editions, expanding to 5,459 sqm of floor space and hosting over 190 exhibitors, including industry-leading suppliers Domino, Jet Technologies, Konica Minolta, Durst and Nilpeter.
