TechnoSport Store in Jamshedpur Opens at Bindal Mall
03 August 2026: TechnoSport has opened its first exclusive brand outlet in Jharkhand at Bindal Mall in Sonari, Jamshedpur. The TechnoSport store in Jamshedpur is located on the ground floor and covers more than 2,200 sq. ft., according to the company.
Cricketers Kumar Kushagra, Pankaj Kumar and Sahil Raj inaugurated the outlet, the company’s announcement said. All three players featured in the inaugural Jharkhand T20 League, linking the store opening with TechnoSport’s recent cricket sponsorship in the state.
Eastern India expansion
The Jamshedpur outlet gives TechnoSport a direct retail presence in a state where the brand has previously relied heavily on general trade. The company sees Jharkhand as a growth market for affordable performance wear and plans to add outlets in other high-potential cities through a cluster-based strategy.
“The Jamshedpur store marks an important milestone in our expansion across Eastern India,” TechnoSport CEO Puspen Maity said. He added that the company expects the store to help it build closer ties with consumers and support wider growth across Jharkhand.
The outlet carries training T-shirts, polos, joggers and shorts. TechnoSport said the range includes lightweight, quick-dry and breathable garments suited to everyday training and Jamshedpur’s warm, humid conditions. Some products also feature stretch, anti-odour properties and added durability.
Cricket sponsorship supports state push
TechnoSport was the title sponsor of the inaugural Jharkhand T20 League, held from June 10 to 23, 2026, at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. The competition was organised under the Jharkhand State Cricket Association framework and featured six franchise teams playing 27 matches.
The association gave TechnoSport a state-wide sports platform before the Jamshedpur launch. The company said it also plans to work with local gyms and take part in marathon-related initiatives to connect with the city’s fitness community. These activities remain planned rather than completed programmes.
Target of 130 outlets by FY27-end
TechnoSport is targeting about 130 exclusive brand outlets nationwide by the end of FY27. The target was also reported by PTI in June when the company announced TechnoSport Express, a smaller retail format intended to complement its standard EBO network. The Jamshedpur store is therefore part of a broader offline expansion rather than a standalone launch. Its progress will depend on how quickly the company converts its national store target and proposed Jharkhand cluster strategy into operating outlets.
