Aditi Dadia’s ‘The Love Project’ Makes Gifting a Memorable Experience

19 May 2022: The recently concluded Corporate Gifts Show on 12-14 May at Jio World Centre, Mumbai, opened a gateway of opportunities for many start-ups and the Love Project, Mumbai stood out among them. The Love Project, founded by Aditi Dadia, daughter of Vipul Dadia (Leading Manufacturers of Water-Base Textile Screen Printing Inks and Adhesives) received an overwhelming response during the three-day event.

Aditi has done her Masters from Oxford University, London along with several courses in digital marketing. “Although my father is into the printing industry, I wanted to start my venture. I started on a small scale, but then it grew into a full-fledged business in gifting thanks to our online promotions. We had received some orders from the USA and Australia as well and that is possible when you have an online presence,” she adds.

As a budding woman entrepreneur, she loves to curate every gift product with a special touch to give a memorable experience, both to the presenter and the recipient. The Love Project offers a wide range of gift products with a special focus on customization. She says that gift is a symbol of love and appreciation which brings joy, both to the giver and the recipient. “So, to make the gift a memorable experience is our responsibility,” says Aditi.

Commenting on her experience at the Corporate Gift Show in Mumbai she said “This was my first show. While digital marketing enables you to spread your business faster, the physical exhibition has its advantages as we can interact with genuine buyers in person and understand their requirements and taste for the gift. Often, we also get some new ideas from prospective buyers.”

The Love Project has an in-house design team to make product design and graphic designing, prototype and production. It was established just a few months before the declaration of the global lockdown due to Covid-19. She found that although people were confined to their homes, there was a surge in demand for gifts.

“Barring those 2-3 months, we did not have any setback during the pandemic. We kept on expanding our presence online and started receiving a lot of orders. I have over 7200 followers on Instagram,” says Aditi.

The Love Project offers mainly customized products. Their main clientele is from the corporate sector. “My customers always look for new, although they refer to samples of our past orders. They would always insist on unique concepts and that is where the challenge is,” she adds.

Coming from the textile printing industry background Aditi was quick to highlight the importance of printing in making attractive gifting products.

“In my sample collection of gift items, you can see the element of print on almost all items. We have in-house printing and often outsource some jobs. We require screen printing, digital and sublimation printing. And we use a wide range of substrates, paper, ceramic, plastic, acrylic, paper, paper board, etc.”

And she also emphasizes the importance of attractive packaging. “The gift is one aspect but it has to be presented in such a way that it makes the receiver so delighted. The packaging reveals the manner of presentation of gifts, it reveals royalty,” she adds.

Sharing her one memorable project in gifting, Aditi says “We had received an order for 100 gift boxes. Usually, we do not accept any orders for same-day delivery. But upon the client’s special request we took up the challenge and delivered the products in the evening thanks to our team effort. The customer was delighted.”

Revealing her future strategy, she says “Currently we are a B2C firm but we want to expand into B2B. Our main focus is corporate although we cater to individual buyers.”

Explaining the element of customized gift, Aditi says “It all depends on to whom it is presented, age factor (kids, youth, middle age or old aged), why it is presented (occasion), and gifting option (budget, type of gift etc.). Every day we curate new products, it is endless. So, our USP is that we can customize any product to best suit our client’s taste with good packaging.”

“Personalised gifting, festive gifting, corporate gifting, wedding gifting, birthdays and anniversary gifting… one could say that gifting has become a part and parcel of our social life. But how about making gifting a memorable experience ? That is the main motto of the Love Project,” concludes Aditi with zeal.
