AKS Stores introduces personalised Chairs

30 January 2021: Cheers for designer Chairs from AKS Stores, Mumbai. Now onwards one can buy chairs with personalization through sublimation printing. While individuals/households can get their names or designs or some catchy slogans or cartoons printed on it; corporate can have uniform type chairs with logos and other branding messages printed on it. Why not, one can gift it out on a birthday or at weddings with the recipient’s name and photo imported on it!

During COVID19 pandemic period, creative entrepreneurs spent time in innovation and bringing out creative products. And, the think tanks at Mumbai based AKS Stores (formerly AKS Print & AKS Sports) exactly did the same strategy. They have now something to cheers! They have introduced personalized Chairs for households and offices with imprints of sublimation. These are sold online.

It all started during Covid-19. We used to sit quite often in brainstorming sessions to bring out new products with innovation such as printed masks for corporate, bags, umbrellas during the rainy season. And the chair is one of such innovation that we designed and launched it in the New Year,” says Shyam Mahindrakar, Director, AKS Stores.“

He adds “We have recently set up a huge sublimation printing set up and with the introduction of our personalized chairs for corporate and households, we wish to fully utilize our capabilities in sublimation. We can print designs, text, logos, etc as per one’s needs. We have a 1,000 sq. mtr. production facility. And we can produce about 50 chairs per day with imprints through sublimation. We will increase our capacity. Currently, we are selling it in the Mumbai market and later we will expand it all over India through the online route.”

As reported earlier, AKS Stores has chalked out a GenNext business strategy. Taking a break from the traditional screen printing (the company had huge capacity with table printing and automatic textile printers), AKS Stores has now added a huge capacity of Digital Sublimation printing. The company has four 72” inch Korean sublimation printers with Epson head and one 72” heat transfer machine to print and finish roll to roll fabrics. The company undertakes job works and also sells merchandise with the main focus on home Decor which include: Curtains, Chairs, Sofas, Pillows, etc.
