Düsseldorf gears up to host PromoTex on 8-10 Jan ’19

The newly conceived trade show, PromoTex EXPO will be held on 8-10 January 2019 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The expo is said to be the first European-wide event of the year to present promotional, sports and workwear as well as textile decoration services. And one cannot miss the famous Charlie’s Corner, to be organized in between the Sustainability and Smart Textiles Area.

PromoTex EXPO will be held under the same roof as the new area of Textile decoration Technology, Viscom 2019, and it will also run in parallel with the international promotional products trade show PSI, which is expected to attract about 20,000 visitors.

PSI show a meeting point of Europe´s promotional product industry with its 18,000 trade visitors. Distributors, agencies, manufacturers, importers and finishers will coming together get to know innovations, trends and premium products. On the other hand, the concept of Viscom has been the trade fair for the entire value chain of visual communication in Europe for more than 30 years.

Together with Viscom and PSI, PromoTex will create Europe’s largest and unique platform for advertising and selling with textile, haptic and visual communication. Trade visitors are expected to come from the fields of textile decoration, promotional products, sign making, textile and fashion design, sports retailers, online retailers, agencies, specialized trade for professional and sports clothing, advertising, events, industry, boutiques and retailers, souvenir shops, copy shops, merchandising and marketing.

The main attraction of the PromoTex would be Smart Textiles – Textiles 4.0, an area which will give all information on the key questions of the future: How does the integration of innovative functionalities in clothing develop? What is about the vision of Textil 4.0? And what do tomorrow’s digital textile products look like? The partners and exhibitors of the area show innovative textile concepts, hybrid clothing, digital products and processes, electronics in textiles, integrated sensors, functional clothing, etc.

Moreover, there would be Catwalk – the Fashion Show on Textile Campus. Leading models will present the latest collections of the PromoTex exhibitors. Such as Fifty Five, Gildan, Sport Böckmann, Ted Bernhardtz, Ernst Alexis, Astrid Riedelsheimer, Club Crawatte, Lynka.

The special exhibition area “Sustainability” will focus on sustainable textiles. Among other things, questions like ‘What makes textiles sustainable?’ are answered here. Various partners and associations to be involved in this initiative are: Fair Wear Foundation, TÜV Rheinland, Bremer Baumwollbörse, RK Textil, Hohenstein Institute, Hochschule Niederrhein.

Last but not the least, there will be ‘Marketing Innovations,’ area will put a spotlight on the themes POS and Merchandising & Licensing. This area will allow manufacturers and suppliers of advertising communication to present innovations and trends from the display and packaging scene with a focus on the POS and POI. It will also serve as a meeting point for licensors, licensees, licencing agencies, testing institutes, lawyers, distributors and anyone else with an interest in merchandising and licensing.
