ASGA Summit 2018 : Over 200 print professionals participated

The ASGA Summit was held on November 21, 2018 at Poly World Trade Centre, Guangzhou, China, on the sidelines of the CSGIA 2018 show (November 21-23, 2018). The Summit, with a theme: “Crossover Innovation Development”, covered screen printing, digital printing, textile printing, and specialty graphic printing technologies. Over 200 print professionals participated in the Summit.

Organized by ASGA (Asia Screen Printing & Graphic Imaging Association), the Summit provided an excellent chance to learn the theory, practice, leading-edge technology and developing trends in the screen and digital printing industry in Asian region. ASGA Summit provided a valuable opportunity for the global printers to come together to enhance their knowledge, develop their business and get inspiration and ideas from industry leaders.

The event brought together leading regional experts in their fields who spoke about the latest advances and future developments driving the market. It included a focus on crossover, innovation and development of screen, textile digital printing and specialty graphic printing. It was useful for those who wanted to connect with technology suppliers, industry organizations, experts and professionals from different market sectors.

The Summit began with the opening speech by ASGA’s Chairwoman, Shen Chunyan, followed by a presentation on “The Printing Industry: Current Trends and Market Convergence” by Johnny Shell from SGIA.

Jignesh Ruparelia, Founder & Managing Director, Varsha Transprint & Nyssa Planet Graphics, made a presentation on “Sublimation beyond your Imagination.” He covered aspects such as Sublimation essentials, myriad applications, scope for creating an extensive range of personalised products, techniques demystified, role of coatings, sublimation on different types of substrates, transfer on cotton garments vis-a-vis polyester fabric. His insights were appreciated by the global audience as well as leading Chinese printers that were present.

“Market trends in Denmark and how the Danish companies are developing,” was presented by Michael Brochmann, Danish Association for Communication, Design & Media (Grakom), followed by “Innovative Applications of Silkscreen Printing in the Label Printing Industry” by Harit Hiranyaphinant (Seam), Account Director of Theraprint Co,Ltd.(TSGA). Md Al Emran,CEO & Managing Director of KB INDUSTRIES LTD, Dhaka, made a presentation on “Apparel Industry of Bangladesh.” ASGA was launched in 1994 due to distinctive characteristics and market needs in the Asian region.
