Brother Industries Donates €500,000 Relief Fund to UNHCR to Aid Ukrainian Refugees

21 March 2022: Brother Industries, Ltd. headed by its President, Ichiro Sasaki, will donate €500,000 to UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), the UN Refugee Agency. This donation will be offered to UNHCR to support humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine and neighboring countries.

In a statement, Brother’s President, Ichiro Sasaki, said that he is extremely saddened that so many innocent lives are being affected by the current situation in Eastern Europe. “So, we have decided to extend our support to those in need. We sincerely hope that everyone impacted finds safety and security and our thoughts remain with all those affected in Ukraine and the wider area including our customers, employees, and business partners. The Brother Group management hopes that this situation will be resolved as quickly as possible, that the people of Ukraine can return to their safe daily lives.”

Meanwhile, UNHCR has stepped up its operations and capacity in Ukraine and neighbouring countries. It is seeking humanitarian aid to support the Ukrainian refugees.
