Covid 19 : A. T. Ganeshan (Amma Colours) in service of humanity during COVID-19

01 May 2020, Tirupur : As the ‘Battle of COVID-19,’ still continuing, the pressure on governments is still mounting to extend lock down. In such crisis, the only way to spend time is serve the humanity, while keeping the self in full safety and healthy. So, A.T. Ganeshan, Proprietor of Amma Colours, is a busy now a-days in Tirupur. As a district joint secretary of Rajni Makkal Mandram, he is spending lot of time in service of humanity. He briefly shared some of the relief work done during COVID-19: “This is the time that we should get involved in serving the society as hundreds of people are affected by lock down which is being imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19. In one of our many relief works, we distributed 500 breads, 200 biscuit packets and 1000 face mask for 5 days; and food kit containing daal, rice, oil etc to last for 15 days. In another relief work next month, we will distribute 2000 eggs, 500 coconuts to poor people who already have ration in stock. We also distributed food and dress to over 20 scavengers who are also affected by lock down. In another relief work we covered about 150 families in Iduvoi village in Tirupur. We also distributed bread, biscuit to about 85 local people who depend on daily wages and hence helpless. Mind you even we noticed that selflessly working police personnel also needed some support and we distributed food to them. In some places we also provide yoga training. And as long as lock down continues and as long as people need support, we will continue our mission.”

He concludes “This is not our first CSR activity. Whenever there is a crisis like this or natural calamities such as Tsunami or Cyclone, and Kerala flood, we always swing into action to distribute relief materials to the affected people.”

Established in 2006, Amma Colours is a well known name in the Tirupur market. They supply Spray Paint, Printing Ink, Flock Powder, Glitter Gel and many other products to the garment decoration sector.
