Covid 19: Dr. Vijay Pandit honored for intense COVID-19 awareness through social media

20 May 2020: Recently Meerut Vyapar Mandal conferred Dr. Vijay Pandit, with Corona Warrior Honour for his yeoman service during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Dr. Pandit works as Head of Sales & Marketing at Popular Chemicals, New Delhi. The company is leading Manufacturer of Adhesive Tape, Printing Inks, Screen Mesh, Wooden Frames, Color Emulsion, Screen Solvent and Color Decoater and Sensitizer,etc. He has been into screen printing industry for over 15 years. The Honor citation presented to him reads: “The service you are offering to the public in the nationwide lock down of Corona are incredible and exemplary. Meerut Vyapar Mandal appreciate you for the kind of guidelines that you are giving to the general public and wish you a bright future.” According to Dr. Pandit, Meerut is still RED ZONE of COVID-19 and cases are still rising. As such his responsibility does not stop. “Through whatever social media, I could reach out to maximum people with a constant awareness messages urging people to stay at home, maintain physical distance, wear mask, eat healthy food to increase immunity, follow lockdown strictly, and do some Yoga and meditation, so that it spreads positive vibes around. For the migrant workers on Delhi-UP border we gave proper guidance and not to press panic button.

Dr. Pandit is also an active Social Worker and founder of Green Care Society, an NGO, founded in 2009. It has since then expanded its sphere of operations across India and Nepal. Green Care Society today has a pan-India presence and is one of the most recognisable faces of environment conservation in North India. The organisation is also engaged in sociocultural development of the society where it works to conserve and cultivate the sociocultural diversity of India and promote the development of a multicultural society.
