DR Optical Disc India CEO felicitated for their innovative ‘Baggage UV Disinfection Conveyor’
06 October 2020: To recognise the role of MSMEs and to encourage Make in India initiatives of Indian companies under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan, Devesh Rathore, Director of DR Optical Disc India Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi, was felicitated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), West Delhi Unit. DR Optical has launched an innovative ‘Baggage UV Disinfection Conveyor,’ for which the company’s Director was felicitated.
“At the function, I explained the Salient Features of the Machine. Even since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, we have been working relentlessly to create innovative products to fight the deadly virus by leveraging our UV-C technology capabilities. UV-C is the most effective Sanitisation Technology proven to be upto 99.99% effective against the coronavirus,” says Devesh Rathore, adding, “The system provides UV Light from all four directions giving a 360 degree exposure.”
He says that the conveyor uses destructive properties of UV light to target pathogens. It is thus considered effective in disinfecting the objects and helps in preventing certain infectious diseases from spreading. The UVT conveyor can be used in hotels, restaurants, organizations, institutions, shopping malls, office complexes, hospitals and labs, FMCG and packaging industries, airports and railway stations, exhibition and conference venues. UVT Conveyor can disinfect all items like handbags, laptops, tiffin box, files, cartons, baggage, fruits, vegetables, water, etc.
Devesh Rathore says that the UV Disinfection Conveyor is just a plug and play system. It comes with a one year warranty. The UVC Tubes are from Philips, Poland and have a useful life of more than 9000 running hours. “Since it is harmful to skin and eyes, we provide adequate sealing so that no light comes out. However, it is not at all harmful to food, vegetables, water, fruits, etc.”
DR Optical has already installed many machines at different locations such as Delhi, Kolkata, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, etc.
