DuPont Plans Powderless DTF Demonstrations at PRINTING United 2026
15 November 2026: DuPont plans to demonstrate powderless DTF apparel decoration at PRINTING United Expo, scheduled for September 23-25, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The official PRINTING United Expo website confirms the dates and venue. The supplied announcement identifies booth C715 and describes live demonstrations, although independent confirmation of DuPont’s booth assignment and the exact 2026 equipment lineup remains outstanding.
How the powderless DTF workflow would operate
The proposed configuration combines Artistri P1600 pigment inks, DTF-120 transfer film and JA1100 jettable adhesive with Brown’s automation platform. Instead of applying TPU powder, the process uses a liquid adhesive that jets onto the transfer film during printing.
Screen Print India’s earlier coverage of Artistri’s jettable adhesive offering described the same consumables combination ahead of Impressions Expo Long Beach in January 2026. That establishes earlier reporting on the technology, but does not confirm the planned Las Vegas demonstration.
DuPont’s supplied announcement says the Brown collaboration aims to reduce manual touchpoints and improve repeatability. It also attributes a softer hand feel and durable transfers to the consumables combination. The material provides no comparative throughput, staffing or wash-test results, so these remain supplier claims rather than measured production gains.
Automation builds on an existing consumables range
The proposal brings an automation focus to products introduced earlier. Screen Print India reported the planned P1600 pigment ink launch ahead of ITMA 2023. Its subsequent coverage of DuPont’s expanded DTF offering described additional ink colours and the DTF-120 film ahead of Impressions Expo in January 2025.
For decorators assessing the proposed system, the useful questions concern the complete production process: which steps still require an operator, what equipment configuration supports the adhesive, and how finished transfers perform on the intended garments. A powder-free adhesive application does not, by itself, establish a fully automated production line.
There will also be a Tedlar overlaminate display and a graffiti demonstration for graphics and signage visitors. Those activities remain announced plans.
