IPMEX Malaysia 2026 Under Way at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur
14 August 2026: The 16th International Printing, Paper, Packaging Machinery Exhibition, IPMEX Malaysia 2026, is under way at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur from 12 to 15 August 2026. According to organisers Kaizer Exhibitions & Conferences Sdn Bhd, the four-day trade show opened on 12 August, with the ceremony officiated by YB Datuk Seri Ir. Dr. Wee Ka Siong, Member of Parliament for Ayer Hitam and president of the Malaysian Chinese Association.
Built around automation, sustainability and regional sourcing, the show brings together printing, packaging, labelling, signage and textile-printing suppliers. Kaizer says the edition is running under the theme “Print Package Possibility” and is endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), with support from the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and industry associations.
Organiser figures put the floor at about 12,530 square metres, with 214 exhibiting companies: 90 international and 124 Malaysian. Participants, Kaizer said, include companies from China, Italy, South Korea, Singapore, the United States and Malaysia. Organisers expect about 13,389 trade visitors over the four days. Those counts have not been independently confirmed in a public final report.
“Malaysia’s printing, packaging, signage and textile industries are essential to our commercial and export ecosystem. We must support SMEs in adopting practical automation, AI-driven inspection, energy-efficient equipment and more sustainable materials, while continuing to upskill our workforce,” Wee said, according to the organiser release. He added that platforms such as IPMEX and Sign Malaysia help local firms meet international standards and compete in regional supply chains.
IPMEX Malaysia 2026 is co-located with Sign Malaysia Exhibition. Kaizer positions the print fair as a single sourcing floor for industrial print, packaging machinery, labels and visual communication applications. Managing Director Belle Yam said the aim is to move beyond a static machinery showcase and help regional businesses adopt automation, AI-enabled inspection, digital workflows and lower-waste production.
Technology on show, according to organisers, spans high-speed digital and variable-data printing, smart labels, flexible and corrugated packaging, pre-press and post-press systems, UV-LED printing, direct-to-garment and direct-to-film workflows, automated inspection, interactive displays and lower-impact inks and materials. Featured brands named by the organiser include Epson, HP, Mimaki, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Kodak, Mutoh, Pulisi and Malaysian manufacturer STH Wire.
Business matching, live demonstrations and networking programmes are scheduled through the run. IPMEX Malaysia 2026 continues at MITEC until 15 August 2026.
