KIWO Presents POLYCOL® MAX-XL Emulsion Designed for very high stencil build-up thickness

22 July 2025: When high ink deposits are needed in screen printing – for example for solder masks, labels, relief effects, 3D structures, or Braille – a stencil with high coating thickness is essential. To meet such increasing market demands, Kissel + Wolf has developed a new emulsion: POLYCOL MAX-XL: a high-viscosity, highly reactive 1-component emulsion designed for very high stencil build-up thickness.

POLYCOL MAX-XL is used especially for the production of very high stencil build-up thicknesses of up to 1,000 m in the direct coating process on coarse screen-printing meshes (8 – 43 threads/cm). It has good resolution and edge definition even with high stencil build-up.

Stencils produced in this way are used for example for printing plastisols, sealing compounds, 3D effects in the textile industry, solder pastes, braille, labels, UV relief varnish and granulate application. Post-exposure and chemical curing with KIWOSET products enables even more print runs.

Properties ….
– Colour: blue
– Viscosity: 22,000 mPas* (* Rheomat RM 180, MS 33, D=30 s-1, 23 °C)
– Drying: 35-40 °C
– Decoating: with PREGASOL products
– Storage: 1 year (at 20-25 °C). Protect from frost.
– Screen coated in advance: at least 4 weeks
– (20°C, absolute darkness). Dry again before exposure.
