Lüscher Tech. introduces new CtS System with UV Lasers for large format stencil

17 February 2021: Lüscher Technologies AG, Switzerland, has introduced their new CtS System called JetScreen with UV Lasers for large format stencils, said to be a new benchmarking Digital Screen Making system. This equipment sets new standards in digital imaging of printing screens and is available in various formats up to 5500 x 3200 mm. It is said to be perfect solution for printed electronics, automotive, glass printing, transfer printing, labels, industrial screen printing, etc.

We’ve created the best possible conditions here to produce our equipment extremely efficiently. This move is a clear and logical step into the future for both companies,” says Dr. Rolf Pfiffner, CEO of Daetwyler Graphics AG.

Equipped with a maximum of 128 laser diodes in the UV range of 405 nm, the system is able to reach an exposure speed of up to 45 m2 per hour. The desired quality and speed ratio can be optimised by means of a new Trioptic! system – allowing a choice of three resolutions: 635, 1270 and 2540 dpi.) The exposure speed depends on the type of fabric used, the quantity of laser diodes and the sensitivity of the emulsion. It can be upgraded to a higher number of lasers on site at any time.

It offers fully automatic calibration of lasers prior to every exposure with dynamic autofocus and output performance up to 45m2/h (depending on configuration). It comes with automatic screen feed (optional). Customary emulsions and thick layers can be imaged and hardened. The ultra-long service life of laser diodes with more than 20,000 exposing hours leads to low maintenance and energy costs.

According to the company, there is no need for high speed coatings: Any standard emulsion or thick layer can be imaged and cured by JetScreen. It does not re quire any consumables such as metal halide lamps, LEDs or DMD chips. Moreover, JetScreen is equipped with a port for Remote Support Service, which can be directly lin ked to our hotline via internet Inline Processing. As an option, an automatic screen feeder can be added to JetScreen.

For more than 70 years, Lüscher has been designing and manufacturing machinery for the graphic arts industry. As early as 1992, Lüscher introduced Jetscreen to the world market: a computer to screen (CtS) system using both inkjet and hotmelt technology – commonly used in the 90’s. It was the first of its kind and having notched up more than 700 installations.
