Morocco Food World to Connect Food and Packaging Suppliers in 2027
17 September 2026: Messe Düsseldorf has announced Morocco Food World, a food industry trade fair planned for autumn 2027 in Morocco with national industry association FENAGRI. The event will connect food producers and buyers with processing and packaging suppliers, extending the interpack alliance’s North African presence.
The organiser’s official Morocco Food World announcement identifies FENAGRI as the Fédération Nationale de l’Agroalimentaire, the national association of Morocco’s food industry.
What will Morocco Food World cover?
The planned fair will bring together food manufacturers and processors, retailers and international buyers with suppliers of equipment, materials and services. Its scope connects food production with the technology needed to process products, maintain quality and prepare them for sale.
Messe Düsseldorf identifies processing technology, automation and quality assurance as areas of demand, alongside packaging materials and supplies. These are the organiser’s reasons for establishing the event, rather than confirmed orders or measured results from a fair that has yet to take place.
For packaging businesses, the proposed scope goes beyond machinery. Materials and their applications also form part of the opportunity, a subject explored in Screen Print India’s coverage of interpack’s packaging materials programme.
How Morocco fits the regional network
The new event will add another North African market to Messe Düsseldorf’s existing regional activities. The organiser says it has operated a processing and packaging event in Egypt since 2019. Food Africa and interpack Middle East Africa form its food, processing and packaging trade fair pairing in Cairo.
Morocco therefore represents an expansion of that network, not the organiser’s first involvement in the Middle East and North Africa. Screen Print India previously covered the transition to interpack MEA, which explains the Egyptian event’s place within the alliance.
Messe Düsseldorf points to Morocco’s proximity to Europe, economic links with European markets and access to West Africa as reasons for choosing the country. These connections underpin its market-entry argument; they do not establish how much business the new exhibition will generate.
Local industry access through FENAGRI
FENAGRI will contribute its relationships with Moroccan trade associations and food companies. According to Messe Düsseldorf, that local network will help international suppliers connect with manufacturers developing their production operations.
The organiser links the fair’s focus to rising requirements for product quality, safety and international marketing. For printers and converters serving food brands, related reading on food packaging ink guidance provides context on the safety questions surrounding packaging production, rather than information about the Moroccan event itself.
Thomas Dohse, Director of interpack at Messe Düsseldorf, described the project as an opportunity to connect businesses and markets. The practical proposition is a meeting point between Morocco’s food industry and international processing and packaging suppliers.
