Naturo Graphics NextGen – Dhruva Patidar, Adopts Vedic Approach to Dairy Management
23 May 2023: It’s a tryst with tradition initiated by a business family with two generations working together. Dhruva Patidar, the 26 years old next generation entrepreneur has joined his father Ravi Patidar and uncle, Shashi Patidar, the Directors of Naturo Graphics (P) Ltd., Indore. While adjusting to the changing business environment during the pandemic, he thought of giving back to nature with cow milking and the subsequent making of ghee as per old, vedic time procedures.
“It is said in ancient books that if your food is pure then your thoughts are pure. We are trying to have dairy management in a different way, instead of looking at the figures of production and profits, we are looking at the cow as our mother and working on the traditional system of cow milking and making ghee as per old vedic traditions. The results of following this procedure are noteworthy. The milk and ghee produced this way are highly beneficial for those who consume them,” Dhruva explains.
A B-tech engineering graduate who has specialised in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Dhruva joined the company in 2021. Describing his experience, he says, “After joining the company, I got to know that the field is very huge. Innovation, creativity, hard work of our directors – my father and uncle has helped our company very well in being known globally in the market. To continue the legacy with more advancements, comes under my duties.”
Explaining the reasons for the dairy initiative and what sets them apart, Dhruva says, “I had already prepared for moving abroad but the COVID-19 lockdown taught me a lot. I learnt that the journey before achievements is more beautiful when you’re with your kith and kin. At our farm we rear Deshi cows. The whole process starts from choosing the cows. It takes around a month from roaming in Gujarat to select the cow. Then we send the blood samples to a Bangalore-based laboratory for checking the DNA and for knowing exactly about the previous generations. Knowing that the particular cow and its previous generations have not been ever induced with any foreign breed is very necessary for us.”
“The cows are set free in their area with having sufficient food available there. Their diet comprises of aushadhis or herbal medicines like Ashwagandha, Shatavari, Jivanti, Safed Musli, Kaunch Beej, Aanwla, Tulsi. The calves are set free in natural environment at the time of milking. After that the cows are milked with hygienic practices. Whatever good we input, it manifolds to best and comes to us in form of milk, gaumutra (cow urine) and gobar (cow dung). We make ghee in the Bhrama muhurat using the ‘Bilona’ process,” Dhruva affirms.
Everybody knows that consuming Deshi cow’s milk and ghee has miraculous effects. But the background of the milk should be powerful. We work in making the background powerful. We work for making cows powerful. To spend time in our gaushala gives us a sense of real satisfaction. To interact with someone selfless who just understands the language of love is a feeling out of the world. We plan to have a herd of 100 cows in the next 5 years along with educating people about the need of getting back to nature. We take this as the real work of human being. In this fast world and the race, everybody is working for something, but we take this as giving back to the nature. Serving the nature,” he adds.
Dhruva also shared that “After lot of studies and being in touch with people who I feel are experts of life, I have come to know that while Gau-sewa might be beneficial for health, cow actually helps us in after-life journey, making it very beautiful. Gau-sewa is indeed, a very hard-working Karma, but it surely eases the part of our life. It delights us to know that many people have joined us directly and indirectly in our mission.”
Dhruva’s focused approach and commitment to this cause reflects that of his father, Ravi Patidar, who is a versatile personality. With his versatile Royal Enfield Himalayan bike (for On-road or Off-road conditions), he regularly been indulging in bike adventures for the last seven years. Time management, family support and having a right team in the factory, are some of the factors which enable him to spare time for non-business activities such as bike hobby.
Describing his planning for adventure activities and striking a work-life balance, Ravi says “Once my adventure activities are planned, then I work day/ night to finish work in hand and move out and my team and family members take care of business. Once I am back from the adventures, I quickly look into the pending matters and then balance myself.”
