ORAFOL invests €100 Million in its headquarters and builds new production area Hall 14
05 April 2025: ORAFOL Group, a leading technology company in the manufacture and refinement of polymers, announces an increase in its investments at its headquarters in Oranienburg. In good cooperation with politicians, the company will further increase its investments in its home region and build a new production area. This will increase the total volume of planned investments from 2025 to 2027 to a total of €100 Million.
On March 7, 2025, Dr. Holger Loclair, Chairman & CEO of ORAFOL, and the new Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor, Energy and Climate Protection for the State of Brandenburg, Daniel Keller, met in person. This exchange formed the basis for the company’s decision to significantly increase investments at the Oranienburg site.
Dr. Holger Loclair “would like to thank Minister Keller for the open exchange. Our conversation has strengthened my view that economic policy in Brandenburg is once again pulling in the same direction as us. In the past, I have called for Brandenburg’s small and medium-sized businesses (KMU) to be politically strengthened. I am therefore delighted that Daniel Keller is making a new start here and sees the support of industry as a whole as crucial for Brandenburg’s future economic development. With this confidence, I have decided to build a new production facility at the Oranienburg site and to now launch an additional investment of €40 Million.”
ORAFOL had previously planned to invest €60 Million in this. A new addition is the construction of a further production area (hall 14). The investment amount was increased by €40 Million in the period mentioned.
Daniel Keller, Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor, Energy and Climate Protection for the State of Brandenburg “I am very pleased with ORAFOL’s investment decision. It shows that this internationally active family business believes in Brandenburg and trusts in its future development. I was also able to convince myself of this in the very trusting and constructive discussion with the management during my visit. I made it clear that it is important to me, especially in these challenging times, to pay more attention to our existing companies – whether small, medium or large and regardless of the industry.”
With this decision, ORAFOL underlines its long-term commitment to its headquarters in Oranienburg and at the same time strengthens Brandenburg’s position as an center for industrial and technological development.
