19 June 2024: C. P. Paul, CMD of APL Machinery (P) Ltd. Faridabad, shares perspectives on a tremendously successful participation at drupa 2024 and the overwhelming response to their 100% made-in-India new launches.

Q: How would you describe the drupa 2024 participation experience ?
A: We are thrilled to announce our tremendous success at drupa 2024! It is a moment of immense pride to represent India with our 100% made-in-India new launches. Our innovative solutions have received remarkable recognition, highlighting the excellence and potential of Indian manufacturing on the global stage. A big thank you to our buyers and well-wishers for your unwavering support !
The 11 days at drupa 2024 were incredibly productive and engaging for APL Machinery (P) Ltd. We had the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, potential clients, and fellow exhibitors, making it a memorable and successful event. The atmosphere was vibrant, and we were pleased with the level of interest and enthusiasm shown towards our products.
We had visitors from over 50 countries attending our booth. This diverse attendance highlights the global interest in our products and the expansive reach of drupa as an international exhibition.

Q: Which were the products on display at the APL Machinery (P) Ltd. stall and with maximum response?
A: At our stall, we showcased a range of our latest and most innovative products, including APL’s Quantum Jet, 3D Foiling Evolution Machine and UV LED Systems. Our revolutionary 3D Foiling machine got the most response, visitors were stunned to know that they can have the facility of cast and cure, cold foil, hot foil and LED UV drying system in one machine and the quality of the results while doing the live demonstration impressed them. The specific reasons for this include the growing demand for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly printing solutions, as well as the superior quality and durability. Visitors were particularly impressed with the cost savings and performance improvements our systems offer.

Q: Did you record any sales or order bookings during the show ?
A: Yes, we secured 18 significant order bookings and several other hot leads during the show. The immediate interest and commitment from clients reaffirmed the value and quality of our products.

Q: Considering that drupa is an expensive show, how much business do you think you will be able to do till the next one in 2028 ?
A: Based on the leads and connections made at drupa 2024, we anticipate generating substantial business over the next four years. We estimate that the exhibition will help us achieve a growth rate of 20-25% annually, translating into a significant increase in our market share and overall revenue.

Q: As an exhibitor did you see things that you would change if you plan to attend the next drupa ?
A: For future participation, we would focus on having a larger and more interactive booth space to accommodate the high volume of visitors more comfortably. Additionally, enhancing our pre-show marketing efforts to attract even more targeted visitors would be beneficial.

Q: Anything in particular you would like to have at the next drupa, that you missed this time ?
A: One aspect we would like to see improved at the next drupa is the inclusion of more interactive and hands-on demonstration areas. This would allow potential customers to better experience the functionality and benefits of our machines in real-time.

Q: Did you exhibit on your own or was there any support from the Government of India ?
A: We exhibited on our own.

Q: Any advice for exhibitors who are eying for the next drupa 2028 ?
A: For future exhibitors, we recommend starting your preparation early, focusing on innovative product displays, and leveraging digital marketing to attract visitors to your booth. Networking with industry peers and actively engaging with visitors can lead to fruitful connections and business opportunities.

Q: Any specific advice for visitors to the show ?
A: For visitors, it’s essential to plan your visit in advance by researching exhibitors and prioritising the booths you want to visit. Engaging with exhibitors, asking questions, and attending live demonstrations will enhance your experience and help you make informed decisions.
