Paradise Screen Materials Celebrates Silver Jubilee

03 November 2021: Cheers to Paradise Screen Materials, Rajkot. which celebrated its 25th Anniversary on October 17th, 2021. The enterprise was founded 25 years ago by Bhagwanbhai Patel with just a 110 sq. ft. shop. Today, after two expansions, they have 350 sq. ft. shop in Rajkot including a new showroom.

When Bhagwanbhai started his screen printing materials business 25 years ago, it was not an easy walk. He quit the family diamond business as a result of the separation of the family of 4 brothers. Bhagwanbhai did not want to continue in the diamond business anymore and he was interested in exploring some new business opportunities. He met his cousin who was in the printing industry to whom he started supplying materials from the market. He then migrated to Rajkot and set up a printing material business when he was 32 years old.

As Bhagwanbhai’s two sons, Jenish and Pratik joined the family business in 2014 and 2018, respectively, his business got a new dimension. Pratik with his MBA, specialized in Business Entrepreneurship, started planning for diversification in a professional manner, from the routine business.

Along with his brother Jenish, he spearheaded the second generation drive to success by adding new products into the portfolio. This includes screen printing machinery including imported automatic cylinder press, screen making products, post press equipment, LED coaters for offset, etc. In addition, like a new prince, they expanded their market, from the Saurashtra region to Surat, Ahmedabad, Bhopal and Indore.

“Our machinery business (Equity Print Solution) was showcased for the first time in PrintPack 2019 in Greater Noida. In future we may also participate in other exhibitions.”

New generation Business strategy …..
Pratik Patel says, “When I entered the family business, it was like a ready stage to perform. Yet, cautiously, I made a SWOT analysis and decided to diversify into other areas. For example, during COVID-19, we also got orders for manufacturing tubular packaging for some items such as badminton shuttle-cock, etc. We also diversified into UV inks and varnishes, equipment supply, etc. So, as generation next, we cannot sit on the success of father’s business, but for future survival there has to be some diversification and new addition to the business. As I am passionate about IT, I may look into opportunities in IT as well. I am already doing my own company’s digital marketing. We have good presence in online platforms.”
