PlastIndia 2023 to Take Place on 1-5 May 2023 at Pragati Maidan

12 May 2022: The 11th edition of Plastindia, the international plastics exhibition, conference and convention, will take place at the International Exhibition Center, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 1-5 February 2023. To this effect, Plastindia Foundation hosted a launching ceremony at Le-Meridien, New Delhi, on 4 May 2022 where Mansukh L Mandaviya, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Chemical and Fertilizer, unveiled the logo, brochure and the goals of Plastindia 2023.

Also present on the occasion were: Bhagwanthbhai Khuba, Union Minister of State (C&F and MNRE); and Arti Ahuja, IAS, secretary to the Government of India (DCPC); Jigish Doshi, President at Plastindia Foundation; Ashok Goel, Chairman, National Advisory Board; Ajay Shah, Chairman at NEC Plastindia 2023.““Informing the gathering, Jigish Doshi, President of Plastindia Foundation, stated that more than 2000 exhibitors from India and 50 countries are likely to participate in the show. The plastic industry, which employs about 4 million people and comprises more than 50,000 processing units, is expected to reach 9.1 lakh crores (USD 102 billion) by 2025.

The global enthusiasm for PlastIndia ’23 is on a big high; reduced restrictions, different approach in handling Covid and easier travel norms have made it easier,” said Jigish N. Doshi.

It may be noted that PlastIndia exhibition was to take place from17th-21st February 2022 which had to be postponed owing to the then pandemic scenario.

PlastIndia show is being organized by Plastindia Foundation. Established in 1987, the Foundation is the apex body of major associations, organizations, and institutions connected with plastics. The key focus of the Foundation is to facilitate the export-led growth of the Indian plastic industry and help boost export business volumes and revenues.
