Ricoh named to TIME World’s Best Companies 2026

21 September 2026: Ricoh Company, Ltd. announced in Tokyo that TIME and Statista had included it in their World’s Best Companies 2026 list. The Ricoh TIME ranking places the company among 1,000 organisations assessed for employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability transparency, rather than printing-product performance.

According to Ricoh’s announcement, the company ranked 573rd overall and 31st in the IT, Electronics, Hardware & Equipment sector. TIME published its 2026 global ranking on September 9, a day before Ricoh issued its statement.

What does the Ricoh TIME ranking measure?

The ranking combines workforce feedback with financial results and sustainability disclosures. Ricoh’s explanation of the methodology says the three dimensions carry equal weight, so the final position does not represent an employee-satisfaction or environmental score alone.

Employee satisfaction: An independent survey gathered responses from roughly 200,000 employees in more than 50 countries. Respondents recommended their own employers and assessed other organisations within their industries that stood out positively or negatively. That figure describes the wider survey, not the number of Ricoh employees who participated.

Revenue growth: The assessment measured both absolute and relative growth between 2023 and 2025, or between 2022 and 2024. Ricoh’s methodology summary states that eligible companies generated more than USD 100 million in their latest fiscal year.

Sustainability transparency: The assessment used standardised environmental, social and governance indicators. Examples included carbon intensity, board gender diversity and compliance with GRI reporting guidelines.

Third inclusion, following 2023 and 2025

Ricoh said this was its third appearance on the World’s Best Companies list, following selections in 2023 and 2025. The company attributed its latest inclusion to revenue expansion, further reductions in carbon intensity and improved employee satisfaction. 

Akira Oyama, president and CEO of Ricoh Company, Ltd., linked the recognition to the company’s “Fulfillment through Work” vision. He said that creating workplaces where employees can grow and contribute starts with Ricoh’s own people, and described people development and sustainability as foundations for long-term value creation.
