Sachin Shardul, Print Journalist no more

16 October 2020: Sachin Shardul (43) passed away on 5 October 2020 at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital due to COVID-related health complications, as reported by PrintWeek India, where he had worked as a technical editor for four years. Sachin, an every smiling persona, was involved in Print Yatras, regular reporting at various print exhibitions including the Screen Print India expo. He had developed a passion for reporting on screen printing technologies and had even attended DMI’s 3 days workshops with a keen interest in screen printing.

He had interviewed many leading screen printing firms and written articles and news reports on various aspects of screen printing and leading screen printing professionals. He was very much passionate about the touch and feel the effect of UV screen printing. At times he would go in-depth about value addition done by the screen printing process. Above all, he was a good news photographer and would capture a great moment at print exhibitions.
Belonging to a farmer’s family, the print technologist is survived by his parents, wife, daughter and son. The entire screen printing industry prays for his family and may the departed soul rest in peace.
