AMS Spectral UV (earlier known as AMS) – A Baldwin Technology Company is the world’s leading manufacturer of high-performance LED-UV, H-UV and UV ARC Lamp systems for printing and other industries. Baldwin Vision Solutions (P) Ltd., based in Gandhinagar, is an Indian arm of Baldwin Technology Group.

Being already into LED technology and presence in printing industry, SASG UV Solutions team is fully geared up to meet the task of marketing and servicing the AMS products in India. SASG has its own dealers in many parts of India and Bangladesh and area ready to serve different segment of the printing industry such as offset, screen, lable and gravure printing.

Commenting on the dealership, Sankoch Gaur, Technical Director, SASG UV Solutions, said “The Covid crisis has given lot of time to think and make strategic moves in the business. Collaboration and cooperation are now very important strategies for the businesses to survive. While our own existing products range caters to small and medium size businesses in printing industry, AMS’s products will be targeted to high end print service providers.”

He continued to propagate that the LED technology has already captured about 20% of market share in UV and by 2030, it may capture atleast 50% market share. The reason is that while the conventional UV technology though cheaper is bit hazardous as compared to eco friendly LED technology. It emits less heat, power consumption is less, hardly any maintenance, and life of lamp is 35 to 45 times more than the mercury UV lamp technology. So, though LED is little costlier, the benefits are immense and it stands as economical solution.”

AMS LED-UV and UV systems for printing are predominantly used in sheetfed offset and web lithography, as well as for flexographic and label printing, to cure inks and coatings. The impact LED-UV has had on the printing industry in recent years is simply amazing. AMS – now AMS Spectral UV – was one of the early builders of this technology. AMS Spectral UV has a research and development team that works from both the USA and UK collaborating on advancing LED-UV technology year over year.
