SIGA Polytechnic College DPT Organises Knowledge Session for Students
01 October 2024. J. Jeetendra (The Print Specialist) Conducts ‘Sustainability Packaging Workshop: Hands on with Collapsible Boxes’. Department of Printing Technology (DPT) of the SIGA Polytechnic College, Chennai, recently organized a ‘Sustainability Packaging Workshop: Hands on with Collapsible Boxes.’ Energetic students who had immense passion towards learning the new trend in the industry, recently undertook an exciting and educational journey with J. Jeetendra (The Print Specialist), Consultant & Trainer for Printing & Packaging who conducted the hands-on training followed by a Q&A session. 60+ Final Year (Third Year) students of the Diploma in Printing & Packaging Course attended the workshop.
Post-session, the students felt very motivated along with their active enthusiasm that drove them to apply their own interpretations and come up with some originally made designs of various boxes. Their enthusiasm, involvement and willing-to-learn attitude are truly appreciated.
J. Jeetendra, shared that, “I, The Print Specialist, am willing to provide all kind of technical and practical support to the students that may help them to reach different heights in this field. I would like to appreciate the efforts taken by the institute and the management for organizing such hands-on sessions that will be exceptionally helpful for the students to up skill their practical knowledge.”
The Print Specialist along with SIGA, are planning on conducting more sessions on various topics like Screen Printing, Paper Bags, Rigid, MDF, Gift Boxes etc., Printed Electronics and many more.
SIGA is offering formal, non-formal continuing education and skill-based programs to underprivileged students and match international standards in printing, packaging and related industries by following directives of the government and the policies of Salesian Higher Education in the pedagogy of Don Bosco. Vision of the institution is to be at the vanguard of progress in printing, packaging, and visual media by creating authentic and successful professionals who will contribute towards integral development of their family, global community and environment.
