SunVetro SGF Inks Set for Exhibition Debut at Glasstec 2026
18 September 2026: Sun Chemical announced its plans to present SunVetro SGF organic inks at Glasstec, taking place on 20-23 October 2026 at Messe Düsseldorf, Germany. The planned exhibition debut gives glass decorators an opportunity to assess a solvent-based ink series for flat and three-dimensional glass applications.
In its 2026 exhibition announcement, Sun Chemical identifies its location as Stand G 20.2, Hall 12. The official Glasstec website confirms the October dates. Screen Print India’s Glasstec 2026 preview provides further context on the event’s programme and industry focus.
SunVetro SGF targets flat and 3D glass decoration
Sun Chemical describes the recently launched SGF series as a two-pack, solvent-based organic ink with outdoor durability. Its stated applications include architectural glass, furniture and signs, along with automotive uses, displays, packaging and drinking vessels.
The company says Glasstec 2026 will be the first exhibition to feature the series. That is an exhibition debut, rather than the product’s launch date. The announcement does not specify a launch date or provide quantified outdoor-weathering results.
SGF joins a broader SunVetro portfolio that includes UV-curing and conventional solvent-based inks for direct printing onto glass. Sun Chemical’s glass decoration portfolio positions these organic inks as alternatives to traditional ceramic enamel printing.
UV inks, spray coatings and screen-making products
Sun Chemical also plans to present its NVTGL UV ink series for glass containers and drinking vessels. This product name appears in the 2026 release; the company’s general glass portfolio page separately lists VTGL UV inks.
Other products in the announced display include:
- SunSpray WBSPG: water-based spray coatings in transparent, frost, matte and high-gloss finishes. Sun Chemical describes the coatings as BPA- and HAP-free, with extremely low VOCs.
- Duracote: cold-end coatings intended to provide glass containers with scuff protection and lubricity.
- SunCoat: screen-making materials covering preparation, cleaning and reclaiming.
Robin McMillan, Sun Chemical’s Business Development Manager for Screen and Industrial Europe, said the company has exhibited at Glasstec for more than 20 years. He described the event as an opportunity to present the SunVetro range and other glass decoration products. The planned display covers screen and pad printing inks for flat, hollow and three-dimensional glass, alongside the coatings and screen-making materials.
What should glass decorators assess?
Visitors evaluating SGF should ask about substrate preparation, curing requirements and durability testing for their intended application. Suitability for a named market does not, by itself, establish performance under a specific production process or end-use condition.
For background on another approach, Screen Print India’s article on UV LED glass inks discusses Marabu’s glass-printing systems. That earlier coverage concerns different products and should not be read as evidence of SGF’s performance.
