Textile Printing & Sustainability (TPS) Conference 2026: Shaping the Future of Sustainable Textile Printing
10 December 2025: Over generations, the textile industry has carried the reputation of being among the world’s largest polluters. Today, however, it is actively reshaping itself to meet the urgent demands of sustainability, circularity, and social responsibility. Over the past few years, increasing regulatory pressure, rising consumer awareness, and disruptive global events have accelerated this transformation, reshaping supply chains, business models and production techniques.
Print technology sits at the heart of this transition. Recent advances in automation, digitalisation, smart workflows and sustainable chemistry are redefining efficiency, flexibility, and environmental impact. The push for nearshoring, waste reduction, and waterless processes continues to open new opportunities for screen and digital printing technologies alike.
3rd Textile Printing & Sustainability Conference (TPS 2026) explores the critical factors and global trends driving the textile industry today and tomorrow: from customer-centric, on-demand fashion and functional textiles, to decarbonisation strategies, traceability, and responsible value chains. The event brings together experts from both analogue and digital printing to share best practices, highlight innovations, and examine the benefits and trade-offs of different technology pathways in building a more sustainable textile future. TPS 2026 will take place 15-17 September 2026 at the Hochschule Niederrhein in Mönchengladbach, Germany.
A Growing, Interdisciplinary Platform
The textile industry is undergoing accelerated change driven by regulation, consumer expectations, and global supply-chain disruptions. New opportunities are emerging in nearshoring, waste reduction, water-saving processes, energy efficiency, and automation. TPS 2026 will address these developments across its two main pillars:
– Technology: printheads, hardware systems, software and workflow automation, colour management, digital and screen printing, ink and chemistry innovation, textile applications including home textiles, apparel, sportswear, workwear, DTG/DTF and smart textiles
– Sustainability: water and energy reduction, circular economy, traceability, new business models, regulatory landscape and practical case studies
The conference is recognised for its uniquely collaborative environment. As one 2024 participant put it …. “The real added value of this conference is bringing so many different disciplines together at the same table.” – Sigrid Kleine, SPGPrints
Another added …. “An excellent combination of new learning, innovative technology, debate and opinion.” – Dan Savident, Coveme
Presentation & Exhibition Requirements
TPS 2026 will feature approximately 30 tabletops from industry and academia, offering participants access to more in-depth technical discussions, demonstrations, and collaboration opportunities throughout the event.
TPS distinguishes itself through high-level technical content and a genuinely collaborative atmosphere. Past attendees consistently highlight the depth, diversity and practical value of the conference …. “An interesting mix of current regulatory updates and advances in printing technologies!” – Tuulia Inkinen, Sporting ID.
“The variety and depth of the topics exceeded my expectations… This conference not only broadened my knowledge but also provided important connections for future collaboration.” – Sandor Meszaros, Zschimmer+Schwarz
