VIATT 2027: ASEAN textile fair pushes sustainability
11 August 2026: The Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will return to Ho Chi Minh City from 24 to 26 February 2027, with organisers putting sustainable products and solutions at the centre of exhibitor outreach.
The fair will take place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) and is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE). Organisers present VIATT as a broad ASEAN platform covering the full textile value chain across three main product sectors: Apparel Fabrics and Fashion, including yarns, fibres and garments; Home and Contract Textiles; and Technical Textiles and Technologies, including nonwovens and textile machinery.
After the third edition in February 2026, official figures showed more than 17,000 visits from 54 countries and regions, and over 460 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions across about 18,000 sqm.
Sustainability is prime focus of Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Econogy programme, which links economy and ecology across the group’s textile fairs. According to the organiser, Econogy Hub is a dedicated zone for sustainable products, certifications and solutions. Econogy Finder lists verified sustainable exhibitors in the online directory and physical visitor guide after external checks. Econogy Talks hosts eco-focused seminars and panel discussions for industry players exchanging practical insights.
VIATT 2027 is aimed at professional buyers such as sourcing offices, major garment producers and finished-product manufacturers active across Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region.
