Virus introduces first plant-based inks for eco-friendly screen printing

15 Novemver 2020: Italy based Virus has introduced their first plant-based inks for eco-friendly screen printing. The ink named, ESE ORGANIC – from nature – is said to be the new sustainable ink range. Virus ESE ORGANIC inks are fully biodegradable and made up to 80% of renewable raw materials. Virus ESE ORGANIC range is also printable wet on wet, ensuring the best productivity performances combined with excellent printing results, comparable to those of the best water-based inks.

With the new family of ESE inks, Virus Research and Development Department, has been able to anticipate the growing interest towards products of natural origin, manufacturing the new screen printing textile inks made of plant-based raw material.

ESE ORGANIC ink range is available in WHITE and CLEAR versions: a ready for use white ink and a transparent pigmentable base, compatible with Virus Mixing System. The ready for use 4 COLOR PROCESS inks complete the range.

Earlier, Virus launched their new water-based inks with WOW technology to print CMYK or simulated process wet on wet with the greatest simplicity and guaranteed results. It does not require flash units in between and a new opportunity for the printer who can finally use smaller and less expensive equipment.
