Women’s Special: Kajal Phadtare, Saral Arts – Time management and perfection

08 March 2021: Saral Arts was founded in 2010 by Late Anil Phadtare. The company is a specialist in post-press production such as lamination and spot UV in addition to canvassing activity. Kajal has completed her Masters in Commerce & Marketing Skill. Her passions are reading, roaming, swimming and photography. Over to Kajal:

I lost my beloved father in June 2017. This crisis was the main reason for which I had to join my dad’s business. After joining I found printing to be dynamic, artistic as well as competitive and there was no turning back.

I could understand the male dominance in our sector and it comes from odd schedules. Our industry is all about time management and perfection and the scenario continues to be still present (There is no time limit). Due to my dad’s goodwill and his clientele, it was a bit less difficult to adjust to new surroundings. My mom’s support as well as my family and friends were also of great help. If not printing, my career choice would have been Finance!

I feel that after marriage choices should be an individual decision. And for me, it’s always to work for my family and carry on the expansion as well as the growth of our business.

Regarding the International Women’s Day 2021 theme “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world,” I can understand feminism, but according to me, we all are humans sharing the same world, why there should be any discrimination.
