Always at the forefront to serve humanity – Shashank Nadkarni facilitates aid for victims in flood affected areas across Maharashtra

02 August 2021: Shashank Nadkarni, CEO of Screen Solutions, Mumbai, a leading supplier of screen printing materials and an Authorised Distributor of NBC Meshtec (Japan), is always at the forefront to help people at the time of trouble and during natural calamities. The Chairman of Poonam Pragati CHS and President of Poonam Nagar Residential Association (comprising 54 Buildings at Andheri (East), Mumbai), realized that recent floods have impacted countless lives across the state of Maharashtra.

Khed/ Chiplun and surrounding areas have received torrential rains and been affected by flooding while there have also been landslides at many places. Shashank highlighted this situation to like-minded citizens and together, they collected essential household-related materials including water bottles from their area. Initially, 7 trucks were sent to Khed/ Chiplun under the guidance of local MLA Ravindra Waikar. One more truck, full of similar materials has been dispatched under the guidance of local Corporator Ujjwala Modak.

Shashank Nadkarni says “I felt that it was the need of the hour for us to combine our forces and take concrete steps to assist those in need instead of just paying lip service to their suffering. Our association members and local leaders have once again shown that so much can be accomplished by joining hands selflessly for a social cause. I have always been at the forefront when there is a crisis situation and believe in putting my best efforts to contribute towards its resolution as much as possible.”

Shashank is always ready to contribute his might to resolve the local issues and he is also actively involved in screen printing trade for the last 25 years. He has a modern ‘screen stretching’ facility for high tension screen frames for industrial applications.
