Govt. Institute of Printing Technology (GIPT), Mumbai Joins Ghent Workgroup

05 October 2021: The Ghent Workgroup (GWG) has announced its growing presence in India as it welcomes Government Institute of Printing Technology, located in Mumbai, as its latest educational member.

Established in 1956, Government Institute of Printing Technology (GIPT) Mumbai is an academically autonomous educational institute of the Government of Maharashtra in India. The institute runs a 3 Year full time Diploma Programme in Printing Technology recognized by All India Council of Technical Education and Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education. The intake capacity of the institute is 120 students per year. The curriculum is regularly updated in accordance with industry demands and latest developments so that students get employment in leading organizations.

Sameer Deshpande, Printing Technology Lecturer states “It is a proud moment for the institute to become a part of GWG workgroup as an educational member, because GWG is a leader in developing print production workflows representing best minds in the graphic industry.”

David Zwang, Chairman of the GWG welcomes GIPT to our growing global membership. “It is organizations like GIPT and their participation with GWG that will bring education and operational standardization to the global print and packaging community”.

Mrs. M. S. Deshpande, Principal of GIPT, Mumbai adds “I sincerely thank Ghent Workgroup for extending us an opportunity to become educational member of coveted GWG. This membership will help our institute to imbibe in our students, the fundamentals of best practices in graphic industry.”
