Kornit Apollo Adds Weekly Apparel Capacity at VistaPrint

02 November 2026: VistaPrint has added approximately 25,000 units of weekly apparel capacity using Kornit Apollo, according to a Kornit account reported on 29 October 2026. The upgrade supports faster processing at VistaPrint’s apparel operations; the report does not identify the manufacturing site or installation date.

Kornit reports production at around three times the speed of VistaPrint’s previous process, with production turnarounds of approximately one day. These are supplier-reported results; the account does not provide an independent performance assessment. The one-day figure concerns production turnaround, rather than a promise of next-day delivery to customers.

Kornit Apollo extends VistaPrint’s production partnership

VistaPrint and Kornit have worked together since 2007. VistaPrint has used successive generations of Kornit equipment, including Atlas and Atlas MAX, before adopting Apollo.

Apparel forms part of VistaPrint’s wider offering for small businesses, alongside business cards, marketing materials, promotional products, packaging and signage. VistaPrint serves customers across Europe, the United States, Canada and Australia. The customer account describes a business seeking to improve production speed and cost while maintaining product choice, with design tools and expert assistance supporting its print services.

Automation changes garment handling

Kornit’s official Apollo product description identifies automatic pallet-size adjustment, garment loading and unloading, and integrated curing among the system’s features. An operator presents each garment to the loader; after printing, the unloader transfers it from the pallet to the dryer conveyor. In the VistaPrint account, Kornit says automation simplified handling and made the workflow more consistent for operators.

The sequence begins with scanning a garment to retrieve job data, including the blank, colour, size, quantity and artwork. Kornit says the system then applies pretreatment to suit the scanned blank before the garment passes through white and colour printing stations.

VistaPrint’s selection criteria went beyond throughput. According to the account, its engineering team sought print quality and wash fastness, together with lower cost per print and ergonomic improvements. The report does not quantify the cost reduction, so the capacity increase should not be treated as a stated saving per garment.

Training supported the move to three shifts

The published customer account says Kornit provided online training before installation and an on-site technician during the first six months of production. VistaPrint reached full utilisation across three shifts approximately three months after production began. That timing describes the production ramp-up, not the date of the equipment purchase.

Further fleet expansion remains an intention

VistaPrint hopes to expand its Apollo fleet as its apparel business grows, according to the report. It gives no purchase quantity, investment value or installation schedule for that possible expansion, so it does not establish a confirmed equipment order.
