NIFT Daman Celebrates Creative Excellence at Annual Graduation Show
28 May 2026: Campus marked a significant milestone on 24th May with its annual Graduation Show, spotlighting the work of students completing their Bachelor of Design in Textile Design and Master of Fashion Management programs. The event served as a fitting tribute to months of rigorous, industry-driven effort. Twenty-one B.Des. Textile Design graduates presented collections born from six months of immersive collaboration with textile mills, export houses and design studios. Their work spanned home furnishings, apparel fabrics, handicraft development, and sustainable textiles – weaving together ancestral craft traditions with a sharp modern sensibility through innovative weaves, prints, and surface treatments.
Meanwhile, Master of Fashion Management students demonstrated their strategic prowess through projects tackling real-world challenges in merchandising, retail planning, digital marketing, supply chain management, and brand building. Partnering with prominent national brands, export houses, and e-commerce platforms, they delivered data-informed solutions that addressed live industry problems. The graduating cohort has already made its mark beyond the classroom – several students earned Pre-Placement Offers on the strength of their internship and project performance, while others have landed roles with well-regarded companies across fashion and retail.
Special Secretary Industries Onkar Gopal Marathe IAS, was the Chief guest. Director Dr. Sanjay Shrivastava, Joint Director Khushal Jangid spoke on the occasion. The placement brochure Tantu of textile Design and Bottomline of MFM department was released on the occasion.
The evening was a conversation between generations – alumni reflecting on their own journeys, industry veterans scouting fresh perspectives, and educators witnessing the fruition of years of mentorship.
