Screen Print India 2021 and Gartex Texprocess India 2021 Expos Witness Overwhelming Response

22 December 2021: There is a time for waiting patiently and then, there is a time to step forth boldly. The first dedicated, focused offline printing industry event held in India since the pandemic began witnessed an overwhelming response. Stakeholders eagerly experienced the joy of interacting face to face at the Delhi edition of Screen Print India and Gartex Texprocess India. The twin shows concluded with visitors and exhibitors alike radiating optimism.

The Screen Print India and Gartex Texprocess India expos held at Pragati Maidan, Delhi, from December 3-5, 2021 once again underlined the fact that B2B ‘physical’ or offline exhibitions are an integral part of the business and industry. Despite all the pre-event apprehensions about the turnout of visitors, both the exhibitions received an overwhelming response on all three days with super footfalls continuing even on the concluding day of the exhibitions.

Three-day hybrid fair brought together 300+ brands with 800+ products on display. The Screen Print India and Gartex expos were a complete package when it comes to garment and textile printing as they had all – Screen, DTG, HTV, sublimation, direct to textile printing, etc.

Considering that the in-person leading show in the printing industry was taking place after 24 months, the response from visitors was very good. Interested industry colleagues were there from all over India but majorly from North India, Western India, and Central India as well as from Nepal.

After the interaction, exhibitors at both the shows agreed that the two years gap of non-exhibition owing to COVID-19 has affected the businesses in a big way. In the absence of events and exhibitions, they had no other way to effectively market their products apart from B2B online promotions, social media marketing or virtual exhibitions.

The exhibition, held for the first time after the COVID break, has helped the exhibitors to interact with the prospective buyers and show them new technologies live, as such opportunities were absent when one engages in a virtual exhibition. Most of the exhibitors agreed that when it comes to screen, digital, sublimation or textile printing, the touch and feel of the products and machinery cannot be experienced in a virtual show and physical exhibition has no replacement.

The Screen Print India expo, which rarely happens in Delhi-NCR, had regular exhibitors such as All India Plastics, Green Printing Solution, J.N. Arora Group, Lakshmi Bio Chem, Print Dynamic, San Printech, Shreeji Screen and Filters, Skyscreen, Taniya Machinery, Zydex, in addition to new entrants such as Apparel Tech, Creative Inks, Riso Digital, Bludigit Technologies, Iutex International, etc.

Gartex, as usual, had stalls from textile screen printing, pad printing, sublimation, heat transfer vinyl, textile finishing, stitching and embroidery. The ultimate show stopper was the new kids on the block, the DTF technologies. DTF (direct to transfer film) was being widely showcased and it is a new trend, there were half a dozen brands on display. Most of the suppliers were offering a complete package of DTF, that is, DTF printer, inks, paper, powder dispensing unit and dryer. The suppliers agreed that garment decoration is undergoing rapid changes and concepts such as DTF becoming a worldwide choice. Often it is also heard that the DTF trend could be a disruptive technology when it comes to other transfer printing and DTG processes.

There were new launches in the wide-format sublimation and direct to textile printing technologies with big brands in the forefront. The expo ended with a positive note and most of the exhibitors are now looking to participate in forthcoming exhibition. Screen Print India 2022 Mumbai edition will be held from April 21-23, 2022 at Bombay Exhibition, Goregaon (E), Mumbai and New Delhi Edition at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from August 4-6, 2022.

Exhibitors Feedback …..

Ours was one of the busiest stalls in the Screen Print India exhibition. Although we booked the last stall available, we luckily got the very prime location. We have displayed some screen printed products, digital and sublimation printed and even the new DTF products. The response was huge. As a start-up, we had never participated in this kind of major exhibition and the kind of response we received was simply overwhelming. Screen Print India gave me the right platform for the first time and I am delighted and thankful to the organisers.

Exhibitions such as Screen Print India and Gartex have no replacement and virtual exhibitions were just a stop-gap arrangement. This was our first show participation after a two years gap. People were very keen on new technologies. During the 3 days of the Show, there were good footfalls and our personnel were busy in both of our stalls, one at Screen Print India and another at Gartex wherein we had showcased our new DTF Printers. We have received a lot of enquiries especially since we showcased our DTF with the industrial head. In physical exhibitions printers come and touch and feel the effect of printing on a piece of fabric and see samples.
– Vimlesh Arora, Director, J. N. Arora Group, New Delhi

It has been really exciting for us to be at Screen Print India. The footfalls have been very good and it feels good to reconnect with a lot of people in-person after two years of this pandemic. It’s quiet a refreshing experience. We are happy and look forward to being at Screen Print India next year as well.
– Maulik Ranka, Director, Zydex Industries, Baroda

Physical exhibitions such as Screen Print India should keep happening and I hope that there are no more lockdowns or stoppage of exhibitions. We could showcase for the first time the Fabro brand textile screen printing machines. As an ink supplier, we decided to take up the dealership of Fabro so that our customers get complete garment printing solutions, machinery and materials.
– S. Thiruvengadathan, Lakshmi Bio-Chem, Tirupur

We are a start-up firm, founded in 2019. This was our first participation in the Screen Print India show. We are delighted that our purpose of participating in Screen Print India exhibition was fully served as we were getting a continuous flow of visitors on all three days. We showcased our CTS Stencil Making System; the Screen Print India show was the right platform to showcase it.
