Siegwerk plans EUR 300 million-plus spend under Formula 2030
27 July 2026: Packaging inks and coatings maker Siegwerk said it will invest more than EUR 300 million over the next five years under its Formula 2030 growth plan, after reporting its highest annual investment volume in 2025.
The company said last year’s spend was more than double its usual annual investment level. The money is meant for organic growth, plant upgrades, automation, digital systems and selected acquisitions, with a focus on capacity, supply reliability and closer local support for packaging and label customers.
A main 2025 deal was the purchase of Allinova, a functional-coatings specialist. Siegwerk said the move added water-based dispersion know-how and is being backed by new coating capacity in India for Asian demand.
On the ground network, Siegwerk has opened a new site in Dubai, bought extra land in Indonesia for later expansion and broke ground on the rebuild and expansion of its Bhiwadi plant in India. Once finished, the company said Bhiwadi will have higher capacity, more automation and become its largest centre of excellence worldwide.
Production and systems upgrades in 2025 also included new inline whit production units in Germany and the United States, warehouse extensions and global CRM and product lifecycle management platforms.
CEO Nicolas Wiedmann said investment decisions are aimed at speed, quality, supply reliability and stronger local support for customers and partners.
In India, Siegwerk signed a deal in March 2026 to buy Hi-Tech Inks and completed the acquisition in June 2026. The company said the combined business holds more than 20 percent of India’s flexible packaging inks market and is the largest player in that segment.
