Vandana Khake Honoured as “Gaurav Adishakti Rupacha”

05 November 2020: Mrs. Vandana Khake, wife of P. K. Khake, Unique Labels (P) Ltd., Pune, manufacturers of wide range of industrial labels, membrane switches, etc. was recently honoured as a Women Entrepreneur in Pune. She was honoured by Ganesh Satpute, MNS Vice President, Maharashtra. She was honored as “Gaurav Adishakti Rupacha” at the Digital Pune Lokmanya Festival.

She was honoured during the recently concluded Navratri festival, exactly on 9th Day. Mrs. Khake had her graduation from Amaravati. And since her marriage in 1992, she has been closely involved in the affair of the company. “At that time there was no telephone. I started to work in the company on a casual basis to spend some time in the factory. But later it turned out to be my passion and I started taking active roles in the Unique Label’s administration, HR, employee welfare, placement, training, job allotment, etc,” says Mrs. Khake. “Those days there was no printing machine, so I personally did manual screen printing, cleaning the factory etc.”

Mrs. Khake leads a team of around 150 Staff with almost 65% women. “Our kind of label production work is well suited for women as it does not involve any heavy lifting work. They are good in Quality checking of stickers, matching sample; they have eye for details, even go with minute details of checking. They deliver good output.”

Unique Labels, so far has two factories, but it will be relocated to a new premise which is getting finished fast.
