35th Year Annual General Meeting of Tirupur Dyes and Chemicals Merchants Association (DACMA) held at Tirupur
28 September 2023: The 35th Year Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Tirupur Dyes and Chemicals Merchants Association (DACMA) was held in Metal Town Rotary Hall, Tirupur on September 24, 2023. The function was attended by the association members and the proceedings were presided over by K. Nagesh, President, DACMA; Sridhar, Vice-President, DACMA; Pon Senthilnathan, Secretary DACMA and Bhaskaran, Treasurer, DACMA.
The AGM commenced with the Chairman’s welcome address and the Secretary’s executive report. The function was attended by 120 members with their families. The Association Member Donors, who have contributed Rs. 40 lakh to the Cancer Center at Tirupur Government Hospital, were honoured with their family members and it was a wonderful occasion.
The official function was followed by various cultural programs. It was a matter of pride for DACMA that the members of the association attended the meeting with their families and it was really a packed event. Former DACMA leaders Narayanasamy and Vaidyanathan were present along with their family members. DACMA has a membership strength of more than 150 members who are leading traders of dyes and chemicals in the Tirupur Region.
T. Jothimaniyan, Dolphin Colours, who is also a leading textile dyes and chemical trader, assisted in the function planning and implementation. He has vast knowledge and experience in conceptualising and managing such functions and was honoured by DACMA for his role in making the function a success. He is also serving the society at large as he is currently simultaneously holding the posts of President, Lions Club of Tirupur and President, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Club, Tirupur.
Commenting on the significance of the DACMA AGM and the participation, T. Jothimaniyan, Dolphin Colours, said, “I have been an active member of the association for the past 17 years. I was happy to attend this function as family members were also invited and they participated wholeheartedly. After the AGM concluded, the artistic and cultural performances delighted not only the members but also families. It was a good opportunity to encourage the winners by holding competitions and giving prizes to the winners. And the food arrangements were amazing. I also express my heartfelt gratitude to the President, Secretary, Treasurer and the function committee administrators for working so hard to make this function a grand success.”
