PRINTING United Expo 2026 Broadens Student Day Programme

01 August 2026: PRINTING United Expo 2026 will expand its Student Day programme on Thursday, September 24, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Organised by PRINTING United Alliance with The Foundation for Graphic Communication Education (The FGCE), the event will connect students and educators with employers, technologies and career routes across the print and graphic communications sector.

The broader Expo runs from September 23 to 25. Student Day falls on its second day and is free for registered students and educators. Organisers are encouraging schools and student groups to register early because places for guided tours and scheduled activities are limited.

Career Guidance Moves to the Centre

The 2026 programme adds a career-development panel and interactive roundtable discussions with industry professionals. Students will also be able to learn about internships, different career paths and technologies being adopted across commercial printing, packaging, apparel decoration and other print segments.

Expo All-Stars ambassadors will lead small-group booth tours with participating exhibitors. The format is intended to give students more direct contact with working professionals and a closer look at the equipment, software and production methods shown on the Expo floor.

Canon USA, Cutworx USA, Fiery, Konica Minolta, Muller Martini and Orbus have already committed to supporting booth tours, demonstrations and career discussions, according to PRINTING United Alliance.

Networking and Practical Support

The Student Day Lounge will offer networking activities and a professional headshot area. Participants can also visit the Apparel Zone, PRINTING AI Pavilion and Women in Print Alliance Luncheon.

Other planned activities include show merchandise, demonstrations of iLEARNING+ courses and interview opportunities at the Alliance booth. The online courses are available free to students and educators.

Registered participants can receive complimentary business cards for use during the event, but this benefit is available only to those who register before September 1.

Scholarships Help Widen Access

The FGCE is supporting attendance through scholarships for selected students and educators. The Alliance did not disclose a total scholarship amount in its announcement.

Christine Cachuela, Vice-President of Membership Operations at PRINTING United Alliance, said Student Day gives students exposure to careers and helps exhibitors meet prospective employees. Charlotte Tueckmantel, Director of Operations at The FGCE, said the agenda would help students connect with industry leaders, companies and technology.

For exhibitors, the programme offers a structured way to introduce young people to roles in their organisations while contributing to workforce development. Student groups and educators can pre-register through the official PRINTING United Expo website.
