Textile Dyes Market Seen at USD 19.74 Billion by 2035: SNS Insider

31 July 2026: The global textile dyes market could grow from USD 13.13 billion in 2025 to USD 19.74 billion by 2035, according to a new forecast from SNS Insider. The research firm expects a compound annual growth rate of 4.16% between 2026 and 2035. The forecast links this growth to demand for lower-impact dye formulations, technical textiles and newer colouring processes.

Sustainability Shapes Product Development

Textile manufacturers face pressure to reduce water use, chemical discharge and emissions while maintaining colour consistency and wash fastness. This is encouraging work on low-VOC formulations, bio-based colourants, digital textile printing and waterless dyeing methods.

The environmental benefit of any dye still depends on its raw materials, production process, application method and wastewater treatment. A plant-based formulation, for example, should not automatically be treated as sustainable without supporting lifecycle or compliance data.

SNS Insider says reactive dyes accounted for 31% of market revenue in 2025. These dyes form chemical bonds with fibres and are widely used where strong wash fastness and bright shades are required. The report also estimates that viscose led the fibre segment with a 24% share.

Asia-Pacific Holds the Largest Share

Asia-Pacific accounted for about 44% of the textile dyes market in 2025, according to the report. Its position reflects the scale of textile and garment manufacturing in China, India, Bangladesh and Vietnam.

SNS Insider estimates that China generated 44.8% of Asia-Pacific textile dye revenue. These figures should be read as the research firm’s estimates rather than official production or trade statistics.

The report values the United States market at USD 2.76 billion in 2025 and forecasts it to reach USD 4.34 billion by 2035. Europe is projected to grow from USD 2.92 billion to USD 4.35 billion over the same period.

Technical Textiles Add New Demand

Demand is also expected to come from automotive, healthcare and industrial textile applications. These uses can require dyes with greater resistance to washing, heat, light and chemicals than conventional fashion products.

The direction of the market is clear, but the forecast remains an estimate. Regulation, raw-material costs, technology adoption and changes in textile production could affect the final growth rate.
