Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF), Première Vision Sign India-France Textile MoU

10 September 2026: Bharat Tex Trade Federation and Première Vision SA signed a Bharat Tex Premiere Vision MoU on 2 September 2026 in Paris. Dr. A. Sakthivel signed for the Indian side. Florence Rousson, President of the Première Vision Management Board, signed for the French organiser, with Textiles Secretary Neelam Shami Rao present.

What the Bharat Tex Premiere Vision MoU includes

The deal follows a letter of intent signed on 14 July 2026 at Bharat Tex 2026 in New Delhi, in the presence of Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh. It covers reciprocal exhibitor and delegation participation, buyer-seller meets, market intelligence, circularity and traceability work, and an Eternal Crafts Collaboration. That craft programme includes a January 2027 showcase titled A Living Thread.

Development Commissioner (Handlooms) Dr. M. Beena also attended. Dr. Sakthivel signed as a BTTF core committee member and as chairman of the Apparel Export Promotion Council. Première Vision’s own site names Florence Rousson as President of the Première Vision Management Board, appointed in February 2024, rather than only as CEO of a fashion division.

PIB placed the signing against the India-EU FTA. Negotiations concluded on 27 January 2026. An Indian government factsheet, as reported in legal briefings, says 70.4% of EU tariff lines covering 90.7% of India’s current export value are due for immediate zero duty on entry into force. PIB cited preferential access on 96.8% of tariff lines covering 99.5% of India’s exports.

PIB also cited EU textile and apparel imports of about USD292.8 billion in 2025 and Indian textile and apparel exports to the EU of about USD10.4 billion. The ministry called Bharat Tex the world’s largest integrated textiles event.
