Myntra aims to bring 400 West Bengal sellers onboard after Kolkata meet
27 July 2026: Fashion and lifestyle marketplace Myntra has hosted the second edition of its seller programme, Seller Growth Connect, in Kolkata, along with a dedicated onboarding session. According to the company, the drive is meant to bring about 400 existing and emerging sellers, regional manufacturers and brand owners from West Bengal and Eastern India onto the platform ahead of the festive season.
The first edition was held in May. The latest event brought together sellers from fashion, lifestyle, apparel, handloom and accessories. Myntra said the sessions covered technology tools, market insights and supply-chain readiness for sellers looking to sell beyond local markets.
Myntra said it already works with about 1,700 brands from West Bengal across apparel, personal care and accessories. It also said it is trying to give national online reach to heritage textile clusters such as Fulia, Shantipur, Dhaniakhali and Bishnupur, including crafts such as Taant sarees, Bishnupuri silk and Dhakai Jamdani.
Brand names cited by Myntra included Kisah, Vastrmay, Uptownie, FTX, Dolce Crudo, Miss Chase and Wishcare, along with handloom-linked names such as Bengal Looms India, Bengal Saree Udyog, Adi Akshoy & Co, Vagmi and Gouri Collections.
What Myntra is offering sellers
Myntra said its growth playbook covers assortment planning, trend forecasting, catalogue work and marketing support for emerging brands. It also claimed that its Seller Growth Hub has cut seller onboarding time from 10-15 days to about one to two days.
Bedanta Dutta, Senior Director, Marketplace, Myntra, said Eastern India, including West Bengal, has a deep base of manufacturers, artisans and brands in handloom, ethnic wear, apparel and lifestyle. He said Seller Growth Connect is meant to give those sellers marketplace insights, technology and growth frameworks so they can expand on the platform.
Myntra said regional sellers can reach more than 75 million monthly active users on its platform, and that it serves about 98% of serviceable pincodes in India. Those platform figures come from the company and were not independently checked for this report.
