Suditi Expands NBA Merchandise Deal, Plans India Store for 2027

26 October 2026: The National Basketball Association and Suditi Sports Apparel Ltd. announced an expanded merchandising partnership on 22 October 2026, including plans for what they describe as India’s first NBA Store in 2027. The agreement expands access to NBA merchandise through physical retail, online sales and additional fanwear categories.

The multiyear agreement covers two separate retail developments: a future physical store and Suditi’s operation of the league’s existing Indian online shop, NBAStore.in, beginning in October 2026.

For apparel businesses, this concerns sales of licensed consumer products, rather than the advertising rights covered in Screen Print India’s reporting on NBA jersey-patch sponsorship. Both involve team apparel, but they represent different commercial activities.

How will NBA merchandise reach Indian fans?

According to the companies’ announcement, the online assortment will include current and former player jerseys, apparel, headwear, performance and casual footwear, basketballs and accessories. Named brands include Nike, New Era, Mitchell & Ness, Wilson and NBA Fanwear by Suditi.

The live NBA Store India website already lists products including Nike team T-shirts, basketball jerseys and basketball shoes. The broader announced assortment describes the retail offering.

Suditi also plans to distribute its expanded fanwear collection through its direct-to-consumer platform, ShopTheArena.com, and selected online and physical retail channels across India.

The announcement distinguishes the multi-brand store assortment from NBA Fanwear by Suditi. The online retailer will carry products from several brands, while Suditi’s own collection gains additional categories.

Casual shirts and lifestyle footwear join the collection

The announced fanwear expansion adds casual shirts and lifestyle footwear to Suditi’s existing range of T-shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, pants, headwear and accessories. These additions extend the collection beyond jerseys and other established apparel categories.

NBA Head of India Sunny Malik said the expanded relationship would support the league’s retail growth in India and give fans more access to official merchandise. Suditi co-founder Tanuj Agarwal said the company began working with the NBA eight years earlier. Neither statement provides sales figures or a forecast for the planned store.

What the announcement means for apparel producers

The news combines licensed fanwear development with additional routes to market. It does not disclose the store’s size, investment, merchandise prices or production volumes, so those details remain outside the confirmed plan.

For garment decorators, related production questions include handling team logos, player names and different order quantities. Screen Print India’s coverage of custom sports jersey production describes DO Apparel’s use of digital textile printing for sports garments, providing a separate manufacturing example.
