Sun Chemical to Present Electronic Materials at TechBlick 2026

12 October 2026: Sun Chemical announced on 6 October 2026 that it plans to present electronic materials at TechBlick’s The Future of Electronics Reshaped on 21-22 October 2026 at Berlin’s Estrel Convention Center. Its SunTronic and SunSens ranges address printed electronics and sensing applications, with recycled-content silver inks among the planned exhibits.

The company has announced booth A09 for the event. Its planned display covers conductive and dielectric inks for automotive products, home appliances, healthcare and wellness, alongside biomedical sensors and devices. TechBlick’s Berlin conference agenda confirms the dates and venue.

Electronic materials planned for TechBlick 2026

Sun Chemical says the expanded SunTronic portfolio will include silver inks with increased recycled content and a new conductive ink with lower overall silver content. The company links the latter development to silver-price volatility, an issue for manufacturers weighing conductive ink material choices.

These are separate formulation changes: higher recycled content describes the source of the silver, while lower silver content describes the amount used in an ink. The announcement gives no percentages for either change, so it does not establish a quantified reduction in silver use or environmental impact.

Other planned SunTronic exhibits include high-resolution conductive inks, LED-curable dielectrics and updated formulations for stretchable and wearable electronics. Sun Chemical presents these developments as responses to the requirements of emerging printed electronics applications.

SunSens materials for printed sensors

The SunSens range will cover functional materials for printed electrochemical sensors and medical electrodes. Sun Chemical identifies health diagnostics, environmental monitoring and agricultural sensing as applications for these materials, which it tailors to sensor and electrode requirements.

SunTronic and SunSens also appeared in Screen Print India’s coverage of Sun Chemical’s LOPEC plans in 2023. The Berlin preview concerns developments within these existing portfolios, rather than the launch of either brand.

Biosensor presentation and booth discussions

Dr Philip Nicholas, Biosensor Technology Lead at Sun Chemical, is scheduled to deliver “The Balancing Act for Electrochemical Biosensor Inks”. Sun Chemical says the presentation will examine ink design and the balance between processing requirements and end-use performance.

The talk will focus on materials for screen-printed electrodes used in electrochemical sensors. This gives visitors a technical subject to discuss alongside the SunSens display: how formulation choices meet the needs of printing and the finished sensor.

Tony Searle, Sun Chemical’s Electronic Materials Business Director, said the company aims to develop tailored materials that combine performance, efficiency and sustainability. Visitors can discuss the portfolios with its global electronics materials team, which the company says has worldwide sales and technical support.
