TechnoSport Unveils FeatherLite Jersey for Satara Hill Half Marathon
29 July 2026: TechnoSport has unveiled the official FeatherLite jersey for the 15th Satara Hill Half Marathon, extending its involvement in the community-run event from sponsorship into product development.
The 2026 race is scheduled for September 6, with its fitness expo set for September 4 and 5. The event is organised by the Satara Runners Foundation, a non-profit group that traces the race’s beginnings to 2012. Punit Balan Group is the title sponsor, while TechnoSport is listed as the “Powered By” partner.
TechnoSport says FeatherLite was engineered around Satara’s hilly course, changing elevations and outdoor conditions. The company’s launch material describes an 80-denier bicomponent filament yarn, a 120 GSM fabric construction and a finished jersey weighing about 94 grams.
TechnoSport said, the fabric used an opaque-mesh construction to improve airflow and heat dissipation while retaining coverage. Moisture management is built into the filament, it says, with capillary channels intended to move sweat across the fabric surface for evaporation. Other features include four-way stretch, anti-static and antimicrobial properties and UPF 50+ protection.
The jersey launch sits within a three-year partnership covering the 2026, 2027 and 2028 editions. This year’s “Pace for Peace” theme, which asks participants to connect running with calm, community and personal balance. It describes the marathon as a community-led race through Satara’s Western Ghats landscape.
TechnoSport’s launch material expects more than 10,000 participants. For TechnoSport, the partnership places its fabric-development claims in a demanding real-world setting. For the Satara Runners Foundation, it adds a multi-year apparel partner to an event built largely by local runners and volunteers.
Speaking on the partnership, Patralika Agrawal, Head of Marketing, Technosport, said, “Our ambition has always been to democratise activewear while building products that are purposefully engineered for Indian conditions. Beyond introducing a new performance fabric, this association reflects our commitment to investing in communities that have embraced the brand and to creating products that are designed around the way India moves. As we continue to champion Real Movement, our goal is to inspire more people to participate in running with products created specifically for them.”
