Bharat Tex 2027 Scheduled for 31 March to 3 April in Delhi

27 October 2026: Bharat Tex 2027 is scheduled for 31 March to 3 April 2027 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The four-day textile exhibition will connect Indian manufacturers and exporters with overseas buyers, giving sourcing teams a place to compare products and discuss supply arrangements across the textile value chain.

A consortium of India’s Textile Export Promotion Councils is organising the event with support from the Ministry of Textiles, according to the official buyer programme page. The event website identifies Bharat Tex Trade Federation as the organising body.

Screen Print India’s coverage of the Bharat Tex–Première Vision partnership provides background on the federation’s international buyer and exhibitor outreach.

What will Bharat Tex 2027 cover?

The organiser’s sector overview lists fibre and yarn, fabrics, apparel and fashion, home textiles, handloom, technical textiles, handicrafts and carpets. Its buyer programme also refers to garment machinery and dyes, extending the stated scope beyond finished clothing.

For textile printers and garment decorators, that range offers a reason to follow exhibitor announcements. However, broad sector coverage does not establish which printing systems or finishing technologies will appear. Visitors planning machinery purchases should check individual suppliers’ participation and demonstration plans for the 2027 edition.

Sourcing discussions, not guaranteed export orders

The official exhibitor information presents the exhibition as a meeting place for manufacturers, exporters and importers to display collections and develop business contacts. Indian MSMEs can use that setting to introduce their capabilities to potential sourcing partners.

Preparation will matter more than the size of the promotional forecasts. Suppliers should bring clear product specifications, production lead times and evidence supporting material or environmental claims. Buyers can use those details to compare samples, assess whether a supplier fits an order and identify questions that need a factory-level follow-up.

Sustainability needs evidence behind the product

Sustainability and manufacturing technology feature in the event’s existing knowledge material. The official knowledge-session page, however, still describes the 2026 programme, including circular textiles, digitalisation and smart manufacturing. Those subjects provide context, not confirmation of the 2027 agenda or session count.

For exporters preparing sourcing material, Screen Print India’s report on the Bharat Tex passport pilot explains how product information can support buyer discussions. It also distinguishes a working digital passport from proof of compliance with European product requirements.

The publication’s coverage of ReFiber’s textile recovery project examines another part of the same discussion: collecting and tracing post-consumer textiles. Both reports concern earlier activity and should not be read as announcements of participation in 2027.

What should buyers confirm before booking?

The overseas-buyer page invites international visitors to register, but its accommodation section still carries July 2026 dates. Buyers should obtain written terms for 2027 before assuming that hotel stays or transfers form part of an approved hosted package.

Participants should also confirm the current exhibitor directory, meeting arrangements and knowledge-session timetable before finalising travel. Attendance projections describe an organiser’s ambitions; they do not establish confirmed participation or completed business.

The announced Delhi dates give suppliers and buyers a planning window. The next practical step is to match sourcing requirements with confirmed exhibitors and obtain edition-specific information directly from the organiser.
