Dr. A. Sakthivel Takes Over as BTTF Chairman

03 November 2026: The Bharat Tex Trade Federation (BTTF) elected Dr. A. Sakthivel as chairman at its 12th Board Meeting on 28 October 2026 at Le Méridien, New Delhi. He succeeds Naren Goenka, with the new leadership setting out plans to strengthen textile and apparel exports and international buyer engagement.

New BTTF chairman also leads AEPC

Election confirms Dodhia and Sekhri in office

Bhadresh Dodhia won re-election as BTTF co-chairman, while Sudhir Sekhri became treasurer. Textile Insights’ election report confirms both appointments alongside Sakthivel’s election.

Outgoing chairman Naren Goenka welcomed the incoming leadership and expressed confidence that it would build on the federation’s existing work, according to the published leadership announcement.

Export and buyer engagement priorities

In comments accompanying the announcement, Sakthivel said his focus would include strengthening India’s position in global markets, expanding export opportunities and closer engagement with international buyers.
