Dr. C. P. Paul, Chairman, APL Machinery (P) Ltd. Conducts Seminar At Central University of Haryana, Department of PPT
06 June 2026: Dr. C. P. Paul, Chairman, APL Machinery (P) Ltd., Faridabad, shares his experience of conducting a seminar on latest advancements in screen printing machines. The Central University of Haryana (CUH), a NAAC Accredited ‘A’ Grade University, Department of Printing and Packaging Technology recently organised a seminar at their Mahendragarh campus. They invited me to address their students on the ‘Latest Advancements in the Field of Screen Printing Machines’ on May 8, 2026.
CUH offers a B.Tech degree course in Printing and Packaging Technology (4 years) with a 30 seats intake. About 35 students of the Final Year Printing Technology attended the seminar, conducted by me for about two hours.
The session started from around 10.30 am onwards at the Department of PPT, SOET Block, CUH.
The Guest of Honour was Prof. Vikas Garg, Dean, SoET with myself as the key speaker.
Dr. Shammi Mehra, Assistant Professor, started the seminar proceedings with the introduction of the screen printing process and myself, the speaker. He also emphasized about importance of such type of technical seminars and how they help the students.
During my two hours 2 hour session, I explained in-depth about the Screen Printing Process, Exposing, Screen Stretching, High Tension of Screens, Importance of Squeegee Pressure and Angle, Role of Screen Printing Machines, Ever Expanding Scope of Screen Printing Application in Garment / Textile, Commercial Printing, Industrial Printing, etc. Topics like UV Curing Importance, Embellishments and Special Effects Printing, Threat and Perception of Digital Printing, etc. were also covered.
I presented over 24 slides which were prepared in detail. During the session I also showcased different types of Screen Printed Specimens and Samples to the students to help them get a better, more in-depth idea about the versatility of the screen printing process. After the seminar concluded, I was presented with a memento.
APL Machinery (P) Ltd. has signed a MoU with Department of Printing and Packaging Technology, CUH as an Industry Partner. Every year we will arrange for one Technical Seminar for the printing students.We will also train and offer internships to students at APL Machinery for on-site technical training for interested candidates.
I was honored to have been invited to speak at Central University of Haryana on the future of printing & packaging. This experience was truly overwhelming, inspiring and deeply personal.
Standing in front of those students, I didn’t just see an audience, I saw reflections of my own journey.
There was a time when I was sitting where they are today: full of dreams, uncertainty, ambition, and the desire to build something meaningful.
From being a student to building APL Machinery (P) Ltd. through hard work, persistence, and belief, the journey has taught me that the printing and packaging industry holds immense untapped potential for the next generation. As a manufacturer and entrepreneur, I wanted to share real industry insights with the students, not just about technology and innovation, but about the endless career opportunities, creativity, growth and global scope this industry offers.
What touched me the most was the talent, curiosity and hidden potential I witnessed in our youth. Our Indian students are incredibly bright, capable and filled with hope. Sometimes all they need is a little guidance, encouragement and someone to tell them that their dreams are valid and I am grateful I could play even a small role in that.
Receiving the honour, appreciation and seeing this interaction covered in the media made the moment even more special. But more than the trophy or recognition, it was the connection with the students that I will truly carry with me. Moments like these make me feel immensely proud to be an Indian because our country is filled with talent waiting to create, innovate and lead the future.
