Fogra Sets 30 Web Academy Courses for 2026/27

18 August 2026: Fogra has set out its 2026/27 online training programme, led by 30 Fogra Web Academy sessions running from 7 September 2026 to 10 May 2027. Delivered live online, the programme covers colour, print production, finishing and standardisation, giving print professionals a structured route to update technical skills without travelling.

The new course year combines weekly one-hour lessons with four longer online intensive course types. Fogra’s published programme places the weekly classes on Mondays at 9:00 CET or CEST, with recordings available to subscribers who cannot attend live.

What does the Fogra Web Academy 2026/27 cover ?

The Fogra Web Academy lists 30 live online sessions in English. The season starts with colour perception on 7 September 2026 and closes with an update on ISO standardisation on 10 May 2027. Each class lasts one hour and is taught by a Fogra specialist.

The official 2026/27 programme divides the schedule between printing fundamentals and specialist subjects. Among the sessions are ….

  • print image quality and 3D surface quality;
  • HDR imaging for graphic arts workflows;
  • migration risks in food packaging;
  • colour transformation for paper rich in optical brightening agents;
  • sheet-fed and web offset printing;
  • print finishing, energy measurement and ISO updates.

Recordings and course materials remain available online for the season. Participants may also take the Fundamentals and Specials tests. Fogra states that passing two online tests earns its Graduate certificate, while attending at least half of the courses live qualifies a participant for a separate certificate of attendance.

Four longer courses add technical depth

Alongside the weekly academy, Fogra now lists four online intensive courses lasting eight to 16 hours. Three focus on colour management: the basics, multicolour production and digital printing. The fourth deals with process control in offset printing. The offset course covers the ProcessStandard Offset framework, ISO 12647-2, target values, tolerances, contract proofing and measurement in the pressroom. The colour courses address ICC colour management, profile creation, colour conversion, proofing, digital printing and process checks. This longer format gives attendees more time with one subject than the Web Academy’s weekly one-hour sessions.

How can print businesses use the programme ?

Companies can buy a flat-rate subscription based on workforce size, while individuals can take a single-person subscription or book a course separately. Fogra members receive a 30% discount on Web Academy subscriptions, according to the programme brochure. Registration requires a Fogra website account, and account activation may take one or two working days.

The schedule suits prepress staff, press operators, quality managers and technical teams that need current instruction on standards or colour control. It also extends Fogra’s earlier online teaching work; Screen Print India covered the 2025/26 Fogra Web Academy programme and the institute’s 2026 Colour Management Symposium.
