HP’s Senior Industrial Print Team Visits India
23 October 2023: Haim Levit (Senior Vice President & General Manager, HP Industrial Print, HP Inc.) visited India during October 2023, along with a delegation that included Nachum Korman (Vice President, Worldwide Industrial Print GTM., HP Inc.) and Arnon Goldman (General Manager, Industrial Print GTM – Asia Pacific & Japan, HP Inc.). They were accompanied by A. Appadurai (Country Business Manager – Indigo & Inkjet Business Solutions, HP India) and his team to engage with HP Indigo customers and channel partners.
During an extensive interview, Haim Levit discussed the global industrial print landscape and HP’s strategic initiatives. He touched upon key topics like the 6-7% growth in the labelling and packaging sector, growth in the commercial space and a positive outlook for 2024.
Haim Levit expressed his optimism about India’s potential, stating, “India is a market moving to the next level, and I see a great opportunity. Soon, India will likely become the world’s largest economy, and I am super optimistic.” He emphasized HP’s commitment to investing in India and expanding its presence.
Levit also shared insights on the global photo print segment, noting its stable nature with a consistent 5-6% annual growth rate. He underlined the importance of major brands investing in the consumer photo book market in India and how the post-COVID e-commerce surge would contribute to its growth.
Haim Levit clarified that HP does not intend to directly compete in the consumer photo book market but plans to enhance its products to support it. He said, “We will not compete with our customers but would be the ones that would provide the equipment.”
Haim also expressed enthusiasm for Dscoop, a community of HP Industrial Print and Large Format customers and partners. HP’s investment in Dscoop includes education, training, and consistent communication, highlighting its importance in fostering collaboration with customers. Dscoop relies on over 100 volunteers, primarily business owners, who contribute creative ideas and sustain the industry’s vitality.
Looking ahead to Drupa 2024, Haim Levit shared that HP would showcase the V12 press, the HP Indigo 200k press, and HP PageWide Advantage 2200 press. The company’s focus will be on automation and sustainability.
